Gov. Reynolds Announces Appointment To Judicial Election District 4 To Fill Bench Vacancy

Gov. Kim Reynolds has appointed Jennifer Benson Bahr to fill a vacancy on the bench in Judicial Election District 4. Bahr is currently an associate judge in the district and previously served as the county attorney for Webster and Humboldt Counties and associate county attorney in Pottawattamie County. Bahr earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and law degree from Drake University Law School. She is filling a vacancy created by the planned retirement of Judge James Heckman. Judicial Election District 4 covers nine counties in southwest Iowa, including Audubon and Shelby Counties.
