Urbandale Man Wanted On Outstanding Carroll County Warrants Arrested Tuesday

The Carroll Police Department reports an Urbandale man was taken into custody yesterday (Tuesday) in Carroll on several outstanding warrant. Officers were dispatched at approximately 5:32 a.m. to the 400 block of W. 10th Street for a reported theft. Their investigation led law enforcement to 28-year-old Tyson Alan Jackson, who was then arrested in the 1000 block of Simon Street. In addition to the theft, he was wanted on three Carroll County warrants for unauthorized use of a credit card, third-degree burglary and operating a vehicle without owner consent, all aggravated misdemeanors. Jackson made his initial court appearance Tuesday and was released on his own recognizance. His next hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 10. An aggravated misdemeanor in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines.
