Chamber And CADC Executive Director, Kimberly Tiefenthaler, Settling In To New Role

Kimberly Tiefenthaler, the new Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) executive director, has been on the job now for nearly two months and is excited to continue their mission of improving the county’s economic environment. Prior to joining the Chamber and CADC, Tiefenthaler was a regional director for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). She says that experience gave her an excellent baseline for the transition to the new role.

Tiefenthaler and her husband, Kim, also own and operate Performance Tire & Service in Carroll, so she is very familiar with the local business community. She says that gives her a good understanding of the problems facing business owners in the area.

According to Tiefenthaler, her goal right now is getting a handle on all the aspects of the Chamber and CADC. Once she is settled in, however, she wants to visit as many businesses as possible in the county.

Tiefenthaler adds starting in December during the busiest time of the year for retail was a bit of a challenge, especially as they were preparing for their annual Chamber Banquet and Court Classic events. Tiefenthaler says she was fortunate to have quality staff to rely on as soon as she started.

The 2022 Chamber Banquet was originally scheduled for Feb. 8, but was postponed to March 30 due to an increase in local COVID cases. The Court Classic, which features young basketball players from around the state is scheduled for Feb. 19 and 20. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more on these events in future newscasts.
