Carroll County Conservation is holding an ice fishing workshop this Sunday at Western State Park, in Manning at 2 p.m. Carroll County Conservation Naturalist, Matt Wetrich, explains why they chose this site for the program.
Wetrich adds this is for people who are new to ice fishing and want to learn. He also says you do not need to bring any equipment with you.
The program is free, open to the public and no registration is required for the event. Wetrich says they will be out there for several hours from 2:00 p.m. to about 4:00 p.m. He also reminds participants to dress for the weather even if the forecast looks good, because you will be sitting for most of the event.
