Local Greene County Residents Receive Award For Top Cattle Production

Two Greene County residents have been recognized by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) for their commitment to the environment in their operations. Justin and Lacie Robbins, Owners of Robbins Land & Cattle, LLC, received the Environmental Stewardship Award from the (NCBA) for region three during the 2022 cattle industry convention in Houston, TX. The Environmental Stewardship Award annually recognizes the outstanding practices and conservation achievements of U.S. cattle producers. Robbins Land & Cattle, LLC, which runs along the North Raccoon River, is committed to improving the land and natural resources. For nearly two decades, the Robbins have dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to enhancing their farming operations, such as rebuilding and implementing farm ponds to establishing cover crops in their fields. Robbins Land & Cattle will now compete for national honors. The national ESAP recipient will be announced in late July.
