Two railroad crossings in Glidden are impassable this (Tuesday) morning due to a stopped train. According to City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, Union Pacific Railroad contacted city hall at approximately 8:15 a.m. to notify staff that the Idaho Street and Colorado Street crossings were blocked due to mechanical issues with one of their trains. The company estimates the issue should be resolved around 11 a.m., and motorists are asked to use 210th Street to detour around the obstruction.
