CCSD Superintendent Wants to End All Rumors About Litter Boxes In School Bathrooms

Carroll Community School District’s (CCSD) Superintendent, Dr. Casey Berlau, wants to quash any rumors that have been circulating regarding litter boxes being put in the bathrooms for people who identify as cats or any other animals. The rumor has been passing around the district for  several weeks now, and Berlau, sent out an email last night (Tuesday) to parents saying this is not true. Berlau writes in his email “The rumor is that our schools have litter boxes in the restrooms to accommodate individuals who are self-identifying as animals. This simply and emphatically not true. There are absolutely no litter boxes in any restroom within our school district.” Berlau adds this is not the first time schools have been forced to address an issue such as this. He says, “As we move forward, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we are here as partners with you in the education of your children. We are here to answer your questions and to support you with the best education experience and environment each day.”
