Second Annual Carroll Kindness Makes Cents Aims To Raise $40,000 For CCSD

The second annual Carroll Kindness Makes Cents fundraiser from the Carroll High School (CHS) Foundation is underway with students encouraging donations by helping others. Katie Kruse, the organization’s treasurer, says this unique event took the place of the Tiger Trot last year due to the pandemic and exceeded all expectations.

Last year’s event raised over $35,000, which helped fund educational and student leadership programs, field trips, new classroom textbooks and other initiatives throughout the district. Kruse and Elementary Principal, Patrick Rabbitt, says Carroll Kindness Makes Cents is much more than a simple fundraiser, though.

The CHS Foundation is hoping to surpass last year’s total with a goal of $40,000. As of this (Wednesday) morning, they were just shy of $16,000 with the fundraiser ending next week. Kruse says contributing to Carroll Kindness Makes Cents is a simple process.
