Des Moines Area Community College Held A Ribbon Cutting For Their New Addition On Monday

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Carroll Campus held a ribbon cutting to officially open the $4.2 million, 11,000 square-foot expansion located on the northeast side of the building. The James & Marjorie Knott Commons Area played host to many community members today (Monday) that helped with the project from start to finish.

That is Dr. Joel Lundstrom, Provost of the DMACC Carroll Campus. He says the expansion will help students achieve their goals.

The new facility has been open for a month now and has hosted many community events along with several planned for the future.

Two new labs for welding, industrial tech, applied engineering classrooms, new office space for student services and additional study space were all added along with the commons area.
