Chad was the son of Norman Peterson and Betty Lundblad Peterson, and he was born on February 27, 1971 in Gowrie, Iowa.  Chad graduated from Carroll High School in 1989.  He moved to Omaha, NE in 1992 and worked at the Hampton Inn and later Staybridge Inn and Suites.  After surviving a massive stroke in 2002, Chad spent the rest of his life at Quality Living Inc. in Omaha. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, including his QLI family of both staff and residents.  He enjoyed watching movies, playing games, working on puzzles, eating out, and of course, drinking coffee. While at QLI Chad’s life was full of activities like kayaking, biking, and attending sporting events. He also worked at the coffee house on site and spent his Friday’s passing out candy. His apartment was the center of activity and no one walked by without an offer for coffee or a rice bag. It was a great comfort to have Chad surrounded in life and in death by the love and support of his QLI family. Chad’s mom became a mother to many at QLI in the 20 years that he lived there.

Survivors include his mother Betty Peterson of Carroll, IA; father Norm Peterson of Los Lunas, NM; sister Stacie (Kevin) Lord of Des Moines, IA; his aunt Barbara Lundblad (Nicole Johnson) of Minneapolis, MN; his uncle Ron (Becky) Lundblad of Mason City, IA; several cousins, other relatives, and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Ilene Lundblad, Alfred and Esther Peterson, and his aunt Alice Peterson.
