Last week, physicians from McFarland Clinic in Carroll presented the United Way of Carroll a check sourced from private contributions from the doctors. The physician-owned clinic raises money each year benefitting a non-profit of their choosing, and in McFarland’s case, they selected the United Way. The latest donation from just the doctors totaled $3,350. When combined with additional donations from all staff, McFarland Clinic’s contribution surpassed $4,200. The United Way of Carroll uses these funds to sustain a variety of initiatives in the area. Earlier this month, the organization announced it would be providing more than $22,000 to area agencies to support county residents through the three pillars of the United Way: education, health and financial stability.
