Teen Uninjured In Friday Morning Crash In Guthrie Center

The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports slick road conditions and speed were the chief contributors to a single-vehicle accident in Guthrie Center Friday morning. Deputies responded to the scene of the crash on N. 1st Street at approximately 8:17 a.m. Their initial investigation determined a 2000 Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 15-year-old Guthrie Center juvenile, was traveling northbound when he hit a patch of snow-covered road and lost control. The Toyota crossed the southbound lanes and collided with a power pole on the west side of the street. The driver was uninjured, but the vehicle was totaled in the crash.
