Functional damage was reported to both vehicles following a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched to the scene near the intersection of Grant Road and Elmwood Drive at approximately 3:48 p.m. Their initial investigation found a 2012 Nissan Altima, driven by a 16-year-old male from Halbur, was traveling southbound on Grant and was slowing for stopped traffic. A 2018 Dodge Challenger, operated by a 16-year-old male from Carroll, was following behind the Nissan and failed to slow in time, rear-ending the car ahead. No injuries were reported, but the driver of the Dodge was cited for following too close.
