The Jefferson Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident last Friday at North Locust and West Adams Streets. Authorities say a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, owned and operated by Mindy Ford of Jefferson, was northbound on North Locust Street when a 1995 Chevrolet S-10, owned and operated by Christian Paniagua of Jefferson, who was westbound on Adams Street, collided with the Ford vehicle in the intersection. The Silverado reported $2,000 in damages, while the Paniagua S-10 suffered $1,500. Ford was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right.
