An Atlantic woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday west of Brayton in Audubon County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. near the intersection of 320th Street and Goldfinch Avenue. Authorities say a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 56-year-old Lee Ann Hansen of Atlantic, was traveling eastbound on 320th and collided head-on with a westbound 2017 Ford F-250, operated by 30-year-old Gregory Keith Gregerson of Harlan, at the crest of a hill. Both vehicles came to rest in the north ditch following the crash. Hansen was pronounced dead at the scene, and Gregerson was transported by private vehicle for treatment of suspected minor injuries. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office, Brayton Fire Department, and Audubon County Emergency Management assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
