Marilyn was born on April 12, 1943 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Walter H. and Hulda (Stephan) Wenck.  She grew up on her family’s farm east of Lidderdale and attended Immanuel Lutheran School as a girl and graduated from Glidden High School in 1961 where she was the editor of the school newspaper.  Marilyn was stricken with Scarlet Fever at age 8 which caused her many health problems over the years.  She lived with her parents on their farm near Lidderdale and enjoyed taking her parents for rides in the car.  She made her home at Genesis Development in Jefferson for many years and then at Mallard View in Carroll until moving to Fonda Nursing and Rehab.  Marilyn was dearly loved by her family.  She had a gentle and loving soul, and she genuinely loved kind people like herself.  She enjoyed flowers, animals, and nature.
Marilyn is survived by two brothers: Walter Wenck Jr. of Carroll and L. Stanley Wenck of Lansing, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter in 1980 and Hulda in 2005 and a sister Dorothy in infancy.
