CADC Launches New Initiative To Help Connect Job Seekers With Carroll County Employers

The Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) is excited to announce the launch of a new feature on its website to connect job seekers with potential employers within Carroll County. The latest figures from the region show unemployment is around 2.5 percent for most of western Iowa. Still, there are many openings in various industries found in the area. According to CADC Executive Director Kimberly Tiefenthaler, the recently implemented “Career Opportunities” tab on the website is a feature they want to provide as a service to local businesses and employees.

Economic Vitality Director, Matt Meiners, is spearheading the initiative to make searching for Carroll County jobs easier. He says they are currently working to populate the page with local career opportunities and encourage hiring businesses to list their openings on the CADC website.

Meiners adds that the CADC’s Career Opportunities has a distinct advantage over other job search sites. Potential employees will not need to wade through sponsored posts or find a job requiring them to commute a significant distance for work. Tiefenthaler says their website sees a broad range of traffic from other communities, counties, and states. According to her, it will benefit local businesses and residents while also drawing new people to Carroll County.

Again, Carroll County employers who are hiring are encouraged to log on to the CADC’s website at www.carrollareadev.com and submit their job openings for publication.
