FY23 Maximum Property Tax Levy Public Hearing On Carroll County Supervisor’s Agenda For Monday

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will hold the public hearing for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 maximum property tax levy during their upcoming meeting on Monday. The board begins the session with approval of payables and authorization on the county’s Iowa Individual Health Benefits Reinsurance Association membership. The public hearing opens at 9:15 a.m. at the courthouse. The supervisors are proposing a $4.30166 urban rate and $7.34381 for the rural levy. These figures do not include the $0.64966 Debt Service Levy. County officials then need to schedule the public hearing on the overall FY23 budget. They will open a second public hearing at 9:30 a.m. concerning a new livestock facility for Richland Custom Farms. The board closes with review and approval of the county comprehensive plan, a 28E agreement with Crawford County and the Carroll County Ambulance Department, and paint and asbestos testing methods for the upcoming courthouse remodel. The Monday, March 14 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the courthouse and will also be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel.
