Lake City officials welcome the newest member to the community’s police department. The city council approved Jason Gray’s hire on March 7, when he started on the force. This is Gray’s first law enforcement job, and says it seems like he blinked and was the newest hire.
Gray says it will be a while till he is out on his own and explains what he is learning so far on the force.
Gray is originally from Glidden, where he graduated in 2015. He says it is not a big move for him to take the job.
Gray says he thinks everyone expects a certain level of professionalism, and that’s the biggest thing he is going to push himself on, and he is fortunate to be with the Lake City Police Department. Now with four full-time officers, the department is fully staffed.
