Motorists in eastern Carroll County may need to find alternate routes this (Wednesday) morning due to a stopped train blocking crossings in and around Glidden. According to city officials, a stopped Union Pacific train is making the Idaho Street, Colorado Street, and Sycamore Avenue crossings impassable. City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, says it is not clear how long the crossings will be blocked and encourages drivers to plan ahead before their morning commute.
