The Audubon City Council met on Monday with a relatively long agenda. Two of the main topics from Monday’s meeting were introducing the sidewalk repair and replacement assistance program and requesting an extension to the water improvement project. City Clerk, Joe Foran, says the council hopes citizens with busted-up sidewalks will send in a plan to fix them.
Foran says the money for the project comes from the city, and they have $20,000 budgeted into Fiscal Year 2023. Later on, the council discussed the water improvement project in the meeting, and Foran explains where the money is coming from.
This project is also included in the council’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget. The hearing on the budget was held at the meeting on Monday. Budgets are due to the Iowa Department of Management on March 31. The council’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 11 at 5:30 in City Hall.
