Sharon Sturges, age 68, of Carroll, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Carroll City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Winger officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, and online condolences may be left for Sharon’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.
Sharon, the daughter of Loretta (Heide) and Joseph Wagner, was born on March 26, 1953, in Carroll. She grew up in Carroll and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School.
After living in Carroll for a few years, Sharon relocated to Sarasota, Florida in 1985. In April 1991, Sharon married John Sturges and the couple lived in Sarasota. John passed away in 2010, and in 2015 Sharon returned to Carroll.
Sharon enjoyed fishing, shopping, and her cat companion Bugsy. Most importantly Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and considered them her whole world.
Sharon is survived by her son Benton (Kim) Warnke of Carroll; step-daughter Misty (Russell) Sturges-Brown of Kentucky; grandchildren: Mercedes Warnke and Jacob Warnke of Carroll; siblings: Marvin Heide of Duluth, MN; sister-in-law Sharon Heide of Carroll as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Sturges, daughter, Shelli Cole; brother Arnold Heide; sister-in-law: Marge Heide.
