The 2022 camping season is fast approaching, and the Lake View City Council is looking to fill the Campground Manager position fast after former manager Sandy Boeckman resigned late last month. Boeckman in, her resignation says, “With the support of family and friends, I am giving notice of my resignation from my position as Parks and Camp Crescent Manager. This was not an easy decision to make. In closing, I hope you know how much I loved my job and the passion I had for the campground and main street updates I was doing, but I feel for my best interest, it is best to part ways.” City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says they are in the recruitment process of filling the position.
Peterson says the council desires to proceed quickly and fill the position before camping season begins. He adds that their camping season begins way before Memorial Day, and they hope to have someone training before then.
The council does have measures in place if they cannot fill the position come April 15th. Peterson details what those are.
Individuals interested in applying for the opening can contact city hall at 712-657-2634, and they will set you up with an application.
