Carroll County Supervisors Schedule Closed Session For Start Of Monday’s Meeting

Next week’s Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting begins with a closed session. The first discussion item will be closed to the public under Iowa Code 21.5 (1)(c)(g), “To discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation,” and “To avoid disclosure of specific law enforcement matters, such as current or proposed investigations or inspections or audition techniques or schedules, which if disclosed would enable law violators to avoid detection.” Once the board returns to open session, they will hear a presentation from Liberty National concerning potential supplementary employee benefits plans. County Engineer, Zac Andersen, will update the supervisors on ongoing projects and outline revisions to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) five-year program and budget. They will close with approval of the Fiscal Year 2023 Substance Abuse Prevention Services agreement, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. The Monday, April 11 meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the lower-level boardroom at the courthouse. It will also be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel.
