Harley Adams of Wall Lake

Harley Adams, age 66 of Wall Lake, IA passed away at Loring Hospital in Sac City on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Harley was born on November 23, 1955, to parents Harley Sr. and
Elizabeth (Bohlen) Adams in Omaha, NE. He grew up in Minnesota. When he left home he began his career in truck driving with his dad which then led to his lifelong career.
On March 20, 1993, Harley was united in marriage to Debra (Potthoff) in Wall Lake, IA. This union was blessed with two children, Andrew and Tori. Harley and Deb made their home in Wall Lake where they lived and raised their family.
Harley was an eternal optimist who was certain winning the lottery was right around the corner and if that failed, his backup plan was winning big on scratch tickets. He retired in 2017 and could often be found making the rounds around town, taking a leisurely drive around Blackhawk Lake, and tooling around town in the golf cart. Camping was a favorite pastime. He loved playing a good game of cards and didn’t know how serious the Potthoff family is about Euchre until he joined the family!
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Deb Adams of Wall Lake, IA; children: Andrew and Tori; grandchildren: Kinley and Grayson; siblings: Rick (Pauline), Debbie, Lynette, Linda (John), and Nancy; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Janice) Potthoff, Dave (Carlene) Potthoff, Daryl (Dawn) Potthoff, Doug (Stephanie) Potthoff, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Elizabeth Adams; brothers: Willie and Mike, and parents-in-law Norbert and Irma Potthoff.
