The trial for a Manning man accused of indecent contact with a child has been scheduled for later this spring. According to Carroll County District Court records, 45-year-old Jason Vernon Irlmeier pled not guilty to the single aggravated misdemeanor count last week. The charges against Irlmeier stem from an investigation by the Manning Police Department into reported sexual misconduct with a juvenile victim between April 29 and June 1 of 2020. Irlmeier is scheduled to appear for a pretrial conference on Thursday, May 12 with his trial slated to begin on June 7. An aggravated misdemeanor in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines.
