Fuel Prices In Iowa Down A Nickel From Last Week According To AAA-Iowa

Motor fuel prices dropped a nickel on average across Iowa over the last week. As of April 13, the cost to purchase a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.80, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and AAA-Iowa. This is five cents below last week’s price but still $1.02 higher than a year ago. The national average was down eight cents to $4.08 per gallon. Retail diesel in Iowa also dropped a nickel to a statewide average of $4.72. Iowa prices are 30 cents below the $5.02 national average but remain $1.69 higher than April of last year. Wholesale ethanol was unchanged at $2.16 per gallon. Natural gas prices were up 70 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site to $6.96 per MMBtu.
