An Ankeny Man Arrested For Burglary Wednesday By Sac County Sheriff’s Office

The Sac County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Ankeny man yesterday (Wednesday) after being stopped near the Storm Lake AirPort by Buena Vista County Sheriff’s. Law enforcement reports that 35-year-old Alexander Ross Wadsley was located at a property in the 2000 block of 220 Street in Early by a concerned citizen. The property had been burglarized recently, and a snowmobile trailer located in Buena Vista County earlier this week that was reported stolen on February 10 was recovered. Officials say that the trailer was purchased from Wadsley. Authorities say trail camera footage from the property shows the exact vehicle Wadsley was stopped in, entering several times and stealing items. He was booked in the Sac County Jail and charged with third-degree burglary, a class d felony, second-degree theft, a class d felony, and third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Wadsley is currently being held on a $12,000 cash bond.
