On Wednesday, Emerge Marketing Solutions was awarded the Outstanding Social Media Execution award at the 2022 Iowa Tourism Awards. The company’s Off the Beaten path in Iowa video series helped them receive the award at the annual Travel Iowa Conference. Emerge Marketing is a local marketing organization owned by Shelly Greving of Manning. Greving and her teamwork to help revitalize rural Iowa through tourism videos that highlight hidden treasures found in communities. Having worked with many small rural communities, Emerge gave the videos to them for free because they saw that the money spent was more than their marketing budget. Since launching Off the Beaten Path in 2020, Emerge has created 21 videos featuring 35 communities from all regions in Iowa. The videos are posted on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest, and as of March 2022, total digital impressions from all platforms were over 320,000 views.
