Carroll County Conservation Welcomes New Naturalist, Kristen Bieret

Carroll County Conservation Naturalist, Kristen Bieret, is now a week into her new role and is already gearing up for the busiest time of the year for the county’s many parks, public areas, and campgrounds. Bieret previously worked as a naturalist for Sac County Conservation. However, her background in conservation goes back nearly a decade, starting with earning her bachelor’s degree from Drake University in environmental science.

Bieret says she loved her time in Sac County, but when she and her husband saw job opportunities in Carroll, they could not pass it up.

Bieret’s first official day on the job was Thursday, April 21, and she has spent her first week settling in at her new workplace. However, she notes it hasn’t been slow as summer is just around the corner.

To sign up for that newsletter, email kbieret@carrollcountyiowa.org and let her know you would like to stay in touch with what is happening in Carroll County Conservation. She adds summer camp registration is coming up soon as well, so keep an eye on that newsletter and the Carroll County Conservation Facebook page for that information.
