The Jefferson Police Department reports approximately $4,000 in damage occurred Thursday evening after a truck and trailer struck a parked car. Officers were dispatched at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday to the 500 block of N. Chestnut Street to investigate the incident. Authorities say a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Trent Ganoe of Ogden and owned by Linda Gustoff of Scranton, was pulling a trailer southbound on Chestnut and attempted to turn into a private drive. During the turn, the trailer collided with a legally parked 2015 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Jolene Anderson of Jefferson. Authorities estimated damage at $3,000 to the sedan and $1,000 to the trailer.
