The Jefferson Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident yesterday (Thursday), approximating $2,600 in damages. According to authorities, the accident occurred at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets. A 2015 Ford Fusion operated by Grace Hardaway of Jefferson was turning left onto Lincoln Way but took the turn too wide and struck a street sign. The fusion reported $2,000 in damages and $600 to the sign. Hardaway was cited for failure to maintain control.
