The Carroll Chamber of Commerce announced today (Tuesday) the 2022 Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship recipients. Kuemper senior, Dylan Wieland, will be attending Iowa Lakes Community College and specialize in Agricultural Production and Technology. He is the son of Kevin and Jodi Wieland of Templeton and plans to return to Carroll County following his studies to work and help run the family farm. The other recipient is Carroll High School senior, Bryce Bowman. Bowman is the son of Robert and Alice Bowman of Carroll and plans to study in the John Deere Ag Tech Program at Southeast Community College. His interest in farm equipment began on his grandfather’s farm, and he hopes to pursue a career working on agricultural machinery. The $500 scholarships are awarded annually by the Chamber of Commerce and Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association. Funds for the program are sourced from local businesses, the Chamber’s Ag Golf Outing, Carroll County Cattlemen and proceeds from a 1987 special livestock auction.
