Lake City Council Set A Date For FY22 Budget Amendment

The Lake City Council met on Monday to discuss setting a public hearing date for the Fiscal Year 2021 to 2022 budget amendment and setting a resolution for Fiscal Year 2022 to 2023 employee salaries. City Administrator, Eric Wood, says there are still two months left in this Fiscal Year, and they are looking to amend three areas in the budget.

Wood adds that the Community Building is running a deficit this year, and it falls into the culture and recreation part of the budget.

He states that the community building is about $75,000 over budget. Wood explains how much they are amending in all the areas.

The public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2021 and 2022 budget amendment is set for Monday, May 16, at 6:00 p.m. After establishing a date, the council then moved to salaries for employees in Fiscal Year 2022 to 2023. Wood says just about everyone across the board got a three-present raise. The next Lake City Council meeting is scheduled to be held in the council chambers on Monday, May 16 and 6:00 p.m.
