Linda was an extremely hard worker. To provide for her family, she sometimes had up to three or even four jobs at one time. She moved to Carroll in 1981 and then moved back to Lake City in 2007 where she purchased her home to be closer to her family. She worked for several years as a nurse, a cook, a warehouse employee, a pharmacy tech, and also did daycare. She worked for Farner Bocken for 20 plus years and also worked 15 plus years with her lifelong friends at the Wagon Wheel. In her free time, Linda enjoyed crocheting, gardening, bowling, and shopping. Most of all, she loved her time with her grandchildren and family. She loved to buy gifts to spoil her grandchildren as often as she could. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: James (Tracy) Trevino of Carroll, IA, and Christopher Barthman of Auburn, IA; grandchildren: Hayden, Maci, Quinn, and Kyler Barthman, and Samantha Trevino; siblings: Sandra (Darrel) Stephan of Jefferson, IA, Pete Barthman of Hospers, IA, and Karen Fisher of Glidden, IA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
