No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene near the intersection of Plaza and Bella Vista Drives at approximately 12:25 p.m. Their initial investigation determined a 2021 Ford Escape, driven by 73-year-old Shirley Schultes of Coon Rapids, was traveling eastbound on Plaza and failed to yield from a posted stop sign. Schultes proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a southbound 2010 Ford F150, operated by 23-year-old Samuel Ritchie of Westside. Both vehicles sustained functional damage as a result of the collision. Schultes was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
