The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education met last night with one of the main topics being a public forum. Two individuals were scheduled to speak, but only one chose to. Casie Forke-Burke spoke at the meeting and expressed her concerns about when people can speak with the board. She questioned when individuals have time to get documentation to the board about their frustrations within the district.
The investigation she is referring to was in April when over 100 teachers, parents, and concerned community members attended a board meeting about complaints not being heard against an administrator. Board President, Cindy Johnson, states where the board currently sits with the investigation.
Johnson’s remarks were the only ones the board provided during the Monday night meeting. The board of education will meet next on June 2 to finish their superintendent evaluation in the closed session.
