The Jefferson Police Department was dispatched Friday morning to a two-vehicle accident on North Maple and East Clark Streets. According to authorities, a 2010 Ford Edge operated by, Judy Wills of Jefferson, was southbound on North Maple when the Ford was struck in the intersection by a 2015 Dodge Journey operated by Blaine Lucas of Fredericksburg. The Wills vehicle reported approximately $3,000 in damages, while the Lucas vehicle reported $5,000 in damages. Wills was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right.
