This week marks the opening of the Carroll Public Library’s 2022 Summer Reading Program, and the staff reminds patrons of all ages how easy it is to get registered. This year’s theme is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path,” and Librarian, Diane Tracy, says their goal is to encourage readers to explore a topic or activity that is new to them. Participants will use the BEANSTACK app to track their reading time or activities. Registration opened yesterday (Wednesday), and Tracy says signing up is quick and easy.
The BEANSTACK app is available via computers, phones, tablets, or other devices. Readers can log their activities and books into BEANSTACK and will receive prizes as they reach milestones.
And like previous summer reading programs, Tracy says they have multiple children’s events planned in June and July.
The 2022 summer reading program is active through Saturday, Aug. 13. For more information or help registering, contact the Carroll Public Library directly at 712-792-3432.
