CCSD Is Moving Preschool To Four Days Starting Next School year

Carroll Community School District (CCSD) and Kuemper Catholic Schools have agreed to change the number of days kids attend preschool starting next school year. There will still be a morning and afternoon preschool, but they will only meet four days a week. Fairview Elementary Principal, Patrick Rabbitt, explains why they changed the number of days.

Preschool will run Tuesday through Friday starting in the 2022-2023 school year. Rabbitt adds this new calendar helps align the professional development days throughout the district.

Rabbitt states that most of the parents surveyed about the change were in favor or were natural. He says this will work much better for the preschool teacher’s schedules, and as of right now, they are using their lunch as professional development time.

Rabbitt adds any parents wanting to register for preschool can visit the school district’s website at carrolltigers.org. Kuemper parents wishing to sign their kids up can contact Kathi Milligan at 712-792-3610.
