The Audubon County Road Department is closing a section of 270th Street northwest of Exira following damage caused by heavy rainfall over the weekend. According to officials, a short section of the roadway between Heron Avenue and U.S. Highway 71 was closed to thru-traffic Monday afternoon while crews were on scene repairing a culvert failure. Construction is anticipated to be completed by Thursday, June 9. Motorists are asked to plan ahead and use alternate routes while the work is underway.
