Meet-And-Greet With Carroll Fire Department Chief Candidates Set For Thursday Evening

Tomorrow night (Thursday), the City of Carroll is hosting an open house with the finalists in the community’s search for its next fire chief. The applicants include current Carroll Fire Department Assistant Chief Dan Hannasch, Fort Dodge Fire Department Lieutenant Jon Schreck, and Carroll Fire Department Lieutenant Brad Warnke. Residents are invited to the Carrollton Centre from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with the candidates and to provide feedback to city leaders. Interviews are scheduled for Friday, June 10, with a hiring announcement potentially as soon as next week. The chosen candidate will be replacing Chief Greg Schreck, who has served on the Carroll Fire Department since 1982.
