The Lidderdale Fire Department’s annual steak supper is scheduled for this weekend. Local residents are invited to stop by the station to enjoy a great dinner while supporting local first responders. According to Fire Chief Terry Daniel, Saturday’s fundraiser is one of only two fundraisers they host each year to cover the department’s expenses.
Proceeds are also used to purchase new equipment for the department firefighters and emergency medical technicians. First responders will begin serving patrons starting at 5 p.m. at the Lidderdale Fire Department. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $50 each and include a ribeye steak, potatoes, beans, and plenty of refreshments. Daniel says the proceeds from this weekend’s dinner combined with their pancake breakfast in the fall keep the 10-person volunteer department running.
Participants can dine at the fire station or choose to take their meals with them. Again, the Lidderdale Fire Department’s annual steak supper begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 at the fire station and runs until 11 p.m.
