The Glidden City Council met last (Monday) night and brought up an agreement to execute automatic mutual aid for fire and emergency medical response with Lidderdale. City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, says Glidden’s Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service Department have a mutual agreement to assist the small towns in the Glidden area. Peterson explains what the agreement all entails.
Peterson adds this agreement does not cover all of Lidderdale but most of the area. Glidden also has the same deal with Ralston, and Peterson says the departments will be dispatched together for calls. The council also discussed transfer authorizations, and she adds they were moving money around to clean up the books before the end of the Fiscal Year.
Peterson says this is a yearly thing. The next Glidden City Council meeting will be held on Monday, July 11, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
