Sauk Rail Trail fundraisers are hosting an event to help raise money for trail improvements from Swan Lake to Maple River. Phil Phillips, helping with the fundraiser, says the event starts at 5:30 p.m. at Kerp’s in the party room on Thursday, July 14. Phillips explains why they are raising money.
Phillips says they aim to raise $25,000 at the event and have already raised $1.1 million for the improvements.
He adds if they raise enough money, they also want to pave through the intersections. Phillips says individuals interesting in going need to buy a ticket.
Participants can buy raffle tickets for $20 per ticket, three for $50, or seven for $100. Phillips says they have prizes everyone will enjoy.
Phillips says he looks forward to everyone coming out and enjoying a night of talking about cycling and being with friends. Again, the event is at Kerp’s on Thursday, July 14, starting at 5:30 p.m.
