Bonita Heuton of Carroll

 Bonita Pauline Heuton, age 83, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Accura Healthcare in Carroll.

 Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll with Father Kevin Richter celebrating. Honorary casket bearers will be her great grandchildren: Harley Buckley and Walker Bradley. Casket bearers will be: MacKenzie Heuton, MacKayla Heuton, MacKade Heuton, Derrick Wiese, Nicole Wiese, and Luke Beland. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

 Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday evening.  A rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M. and Christian Wake Service at 8:00 P.M. The casket will be moved to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 9:30 A.M. on Friday where visitation will resume until 10:15 A.M. prior to the service.

 Bonita was born November 1, 1938 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Henry John and Eleanor (Sandrock) Heman. She attended elementary school in Dedham, IA and later transferred to Carroll High School graduating with the Class of 1957.

On October 1, 1966, she was united in marriage to Wendell David Heuton at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dedham by Rev. Henry Meyer. They were blessed with 4 children. Bonita was a homemaker for many years raising her children. Once the children were grown, she was employed at several different restaurants as a cook and most recently worked at Kerp’s Tavern in Carroll, IA for several years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll, IA for many years and in her spare time she enjoyed doing word search puzzle books.

 Bonita is survived by her children: David and wife Renee Heuton of Belle Plaine, MN, Duane Heuton of Carroll, and Darlene and husband Steve Wiese of Carroll; grandchildren: MacKenzie Heuton, MacKayla Heuton, MacKade Heuton, Joseph Wiese, Derrick Wiese, and Nicole Wiese; great-grandchildren, Harley Buckley and Walker Bradley; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert Moore of Carroll, Kenny Testroet of Scranton, and Barb Heman of Ralston; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Heuton; infant daughter, Ruth Ann; her parents; five sisters and 3 brothers.
