The Lake City Council has devised an idea to help stop recent vandalism within the town. The council has decided to put a curfew in place for individuals under 18. City administrator, Eric Wood, says the new ordinance will be in place as soon as it is published.
Wood adds that there are some exceptions to the new rule.
He says the council passed the first reading at their meeting Tuesday night. Wood adds this change is for good unless someone in the future wants to change the ordinance. He adds they reached out to other cities with similar rules to write theirs. The next Lake City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 18, at 6:00 p.m.
