Angela “Angie” Marie (Denney) Hoyt of Woodward, IA was a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left us unexpectedly July 7th, 2022, at age 49.
Funeral Services for 49 year old Angela Hoyt of Woodward will be held Friday at St. Malach’s Catholic Church in Madrid, IA. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Thursday at the Sundberg Kirkpatrick Chapel in Madrid, IA. The Sundberg Kirkpatrick Chapel of Madrid, IA is in charge of the arrangements.
Angie was born September 12, 1972 in Carroll, IA to Ronald Melvin Denney and Nancy Kay (Pollman) Denney. Angie graduated from Carroll High School in 1990. She followed up her education with degrees from Iowa Central and DMACC. While attending DMACC, she met Andrew Hoyt. They later wed on February 22, 1997. They grew their family with 3 sons, Cameron (23), Noah (21), and Alex(12). While growing their family in the Woodward area, she worked for Earlham Savings bank, and most recently was the City Clerk for the City of Woodward.
Angie lived life to the fullest, and always made everyone feel loved. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, taking walks with Mulligan, the family dog. She loved attending her sons’ school activities and sporting events throughout their school years. She made many lasting memories for many friends and family to cherish for years to come, many of which involved the Iowa State Cyclones (especially tailgating with her most recent koozie purchase in hand), St Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Angie is survived by her husband, Andrew of Woodward, IA; sons Cameron (Chelsea Hardisty) of Ames, IA, Noah of Ames, IA and Alex of Woodward, IA. Siblings Ron Denney (Melanie) of Breda, IA; Kim Sorenson (Kevin) of Ames, IA; Scott Denney (Jennifer) of Cedar Rapids, IA; mother and father in law, Dale & Linda Hoyt of Scranton, IA; brother in law Mike Hoyt (Tracy) of Barrington, RI; sister in law Kris Jouanne of Paris, France; brother in law Matt Hoyt (Susan) of Allen, TX. As well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who were deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Denney, step-mother Sandy Denney and grandparents (maternal and paternal).
