The Crawford County Fairs gets kicked off tomorrow (Tuesday) and runs through Monday, July 25, in Denison. Jan Henningsen is a fair board member, and she says all the events played during the week don’t start until Wednesday.
Henningsen says Monday and Tuesday are when all the vendors set up and livestock is brought. She adds Wednesday also kicks off all of the livestock shows with the poultry show first and on Thursday is the sheep show starting at 8:00 a.m. Henningsen says it is free to walk around the fair, but some things cost participants money.
Again, all the livestock will be moved on Tuesday, with the fair events beginning on Wednesday in Denison. Individuals wanting more information on fair events can visit crawfordcountyiowafair.com.
