The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education met last night (Monday) and looked to change the policy regarding bus services for extracurricular activities. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says there have been some questions from community members on when teams can use charter buses for playoff games.
Berlau adds the school has used Windstar buses within the last year for going to the state basketball tournament and the qualifying dual meet in wrestling. He explains where he stands on the issue right now.
Berlau says it should be up to the board to make the final decision, not if enough money is raised. The board did not vote on the issue during Monday night’s meeting, and they will bring it back up during their work session on August 1.
